Opening Reception / The Hybrid Machine with Nicholas Tay, Alisha Sian, Pippa Cherniavksy, and Dennis Humphrey
May 24 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm PDT
On Tuesday, May 24 at 6pm, Massy Arts will host an opening reception for The Hybrid Machine, a group show celebrating works by artists Nicholas Tay, Alisha Sian, Pippa Cherniavksy, and Dennis Humphrey.
This selection of figurative experiments on photography, drawing, and painting invites viewers to address and discuss the human bodily experience as both an instrument of social reality and a product of multiple narratives.
At the event, the artists will address their series for the group show, and answer questions from the audience, questioning what lies beneath and beyond the flesh in every one of the exhibition’s enigmatic suggestions.
The event will be hosted at the Massy Arts Gallery, at 23 East Pender Street in Chinatown, Vancouver.
The opening reception is open to all community + free, and registration is mandatory.
Covid Protocols: For all in-person events, attendees must provide proof of vaccination, wear a mask (N95 masks are encouraged and recommended as they offer the best protection), and consent to having their temperature checked at the front door.
