next of kin to the mischief wind is a series of work that embodies artist my experience living as a chronically ill, two-spirit indigenous person who has been displaced from their ancestral territories through ongoing colonization.

"It starts with my mother’s hands. Her delicate skin, lined and creased, as she tenderly traces the plump cheek of my youngest son. Her lines, folding into rivers, creasing into ravines, dotting out into borders. The snowy smoothness of my son’s cheek, undulating and open to promise."

Three artists from distinct nations come together, their calls for restitution taking shape through image, dream, and language.

“Colour Theory: An Anti-Racist Art Exhibit” is a travelling visual arts exhibit curated by Angelique Bulosan. Developed out of a series of facilitated discussions that explore experiences around racism, it showcases visual art and storytelling pieces that are shared with the general public to spark dialogues around racism.
