On Oct 29th (Fri), at 5pm, join poet Jane Wong for the launch of her latest book: "How to Not Be Afraid of Everything" (2021, Alice James Books). At the event, Wong will read poems and have a talk with author Leanne Dunic about the themes of this recent book: vulnerable and tangled ways in which we articulate and reckon with fear: fear of intergenerational trauma, of toxic masculinity, of silenced and hidden histories.

From Nov 17th to Dec 14th, the Massy Arts Gallery hosts a new window exhibition: “開 門 ( Open )” by Vancouver-based artist Angela Lai. The installation is a site-specific piece that utilizes discarded material from garments that have history from the artist's family, and relate to Chinatown. At the exhibition, the materials are arranged and pieced together to form a three-dimensional portrait of the neighborhood.
