Rafael Zen + Khalil Alomar present the web series Ideas To Make The World Bearable, a political education project that Zen organizes and coordinates in South America. Through a 10-class workshop the artist presented and discussed philosophical, political and poetic theories about togetherness, community building, post-identity, decoloniality, and anti-capitalism. On Tuesday, August 4 at 6pm, join California-based poet and playwright Zack Rogow for a reading event to celebrate poetry, cycles of life, beauty, meditative perspectives. At this in-person event, Rogow will present his latest book - Irreverent Litanies (2019, Regal House) - and will be joined by poets Tess Gallagher, and Gary Copeland Lilley

Book Launch / Our Love Affair With Dance by Karen Kurnaedy

Join writer + dancer Karen Kurnaedy for the launch of her new book “Our Love Affair with Dance” (2022). At the in-person event, the author will address how the book celebrates the lives of Vancouver’s innovative dancers and instructors, sisters Magda & Gertrud Hahn, who opened the first modern dance school in Vancouver - The Hanova School of Modern Studies in Body Sculpture and the Classical Dance.
