We’re hiring an Event Host on a casual, contracted basis from July to November, 2023. This person will work as the host and main point of contact for Massy Arts at the majority of our literary events at the gallery and occasionally other venues. Shifts will generally occur between Sundays and Thursdays between 5pm-9pm. Main tasks include: Hosting — providing welcomes to events including Territorial Acknowledgements, using Square to sell books, selling and serving beverages, occasionally operating a video camera, and communicating with Massy staff via email. Light physical duties include set-up and take-down of chairs, and light tidying of the space. BIPOC, 2SLGBTQAI+ and other over-excluded community members are especially encouraged to apply.
